Red Velvet Cake with the Original Icing

I meant to post this last week, but I have been super busy lately. The cake is a red velvet cake with the original butter cream icing made with flour and milk.

Purple & Silver Dots Wedding Cake

In the year that I have been making cakes, I have never done a three tiered cake. I think it was more nerves on my part more than anything. I was asked to do a three tiered wedding cake that a couple found on theknot.com and came from one of the best bakeries in Missouri "McArthur's Bakery". The couple wanted ivory buttercream on the cake and purple and silver dots( I used royal icing for the dots on the cake). The bottom and top tier was red velvet with cream cheese layers and the middle tier was white wedding cake with buttercream.

Well I think I'm over my fear of making three tiered cakes. I was very happy with the cake.

Baptism Cake & Cupcakes

The cake was a 6 in red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and covered in fondant. The pattern on the cake was a quilted diamond pattern with a fondant cross.

The cupcakes were lemon with raspberry filling and white cake with strawberryfilling, both with buttercream and fondant cross decorations on top.

Mickey Mouse Cake and Cupcakes

1st Birthday Mickey Party

The cake and cupcakes were for my nephew's 1st birthday. The cake was a 4 in funfetti cake with custom colors for the sprinkles in the cake(black, blue, and red). The cake was covered in fondant and decorations are all fondant.

The cupcakes were also custom funfetti cake with buttercream icing and fondant decorations.
