Easter Cookies I

Easter is only a week away and I (a.k.a. the Easter Bunny) has a lot to do before Easter.  For the most part, the cookie designs come from clip art pictures that I love or just an idea that popped in my head.  Just like the ribbon on the rabbits, lamb, and Easter baskets.  I am horrible at making ribbon on cookies with royal icing, so I remembered that I had bought ribbon at Michaels last week and made small ribbons and attached them with royal icing.   

Everyone have a great weekend!  The weather is supposed to be wonderful.

Pregnant Belly Cake

This was my first pregnant belly cake and I was a little scared to attempt this cake.  Once I started decorating the cake, it was actually a really easy cake to make.  A really fun cake to make!

Best Wishes Frog Cake

This cake was requested for someone getting hip surgery.  She loves frogs, so I thought it would be cute to have a frog with a walker and a thing to grab stuff she needs.  I added the toilet paper making it look like she was using the grabber to get toilet paper.  It was more a funny cake than anything.....

Pokemon Cake & Cookies

The Pokemon Cake and Cookies were a challenge for me.  I'm not familiar with any of the characters from Pokemon, so hopefully I got it right and the birthday boy loved the cake and cookies.

What's It Going To Bee?????

This cake was so much fun to make.  I made it for someone that I didn't know, but as I talked to her through FB, I felt like I knew her and she was so nice and easy to work with.  The customer found the cake online and I would give this person credit for the idea, but I cannot find the cake or website now.  The cake from online was a 1st Birthday cake in a bee theme, but this cake was for a gender cake party.  The customer's brother called me earlier this week with the results on if the baby was going to be a boy or girl.  So for the bottom tier the cake batter (I can now say) was colored it pink and the buttercream pink.  The top tier was white cake with pink buttercream.  The outside of the cake was then yellow buttercream and fondant accents and when they cut into the cake, they knew what they were having. 

Congratulations Steve and Jess on your wonderful news of having a baby girl!  It was a pleasure working with you and thank you for giving me the opportunity to make this cake!

These cookies are also going to Indiana for a different baby shower and the small bags with mini cookies are going to be given as favors.  The onesie cookie is for a big sister and the duck cookie is for a cousin.
